Get the real shit : a sine tone at 40Hz instead :D ![]() Please read the description of that generator for a more articulated answer as why a 40Hz binaural beat doesn't make much sense. Because of people constantly asking for that "non-sense" 40Hz _binaural_ beat, I created e a specific generator : - The first slider plays 40Hz in its purest form. Why would you need any sort of trickery to make it audible when it already is? I am puzzled. Now, with higher brainwave frequencies, those above 20Hz: they are in the audible range! 40Hz is clearly audible. That carrier is often taken in the 100-200Hz range, and then modulated at the brainwave frequency. So, binaural beats were invented, to embed that 4Hz as a modulation of a carrier in the audible range. Take a brainwave at 4Hz, that is something you cannot hear, even if it was a sound (a brainwave is not a sound, btw). The aim of binaural beats, is to translate frequencies that are are inaudible if they were a sound, into the audible frequencies (20-20.000Hz). ![]() I am starting to be suspicious about binaural beats, especially when people use them for frequencies higher than 20Hz.
